Welcome to our house in the middle of historic Constance. In a few minutes you can reach Lake Constance and the harbor (200 m), the German and Swiss train station (300 m), the Rheinbad and the Swiss border (700 m). The Bodensee-Airport Friedrichshafen is 24 km away, the airport Kloten in Zurich 60 km. Our house from the end of the 19th century was extensively renovated in 2005. As soon as you leave the house, you are in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. Despite the central location, you can sleep peacefully with us, as the bedrooms face to the rear, towards the inner area of the quarter. All around you will find shopping opportunities, grocery stores, restaurants, wine bars and special breakfast offers for every taste and budget. Boats in the harbor offer sightseeing tours. They can take you to the Bodenseetherme thermal baths and the Constance open-air swimming pool. A lakeside path (2 km) with mountain views also leads there. The only council north of the Alps took place in Constance from 1414 - 1418. There are many reminders of this, e.g. the "Imperia" statue in the harbor entrance. It is worth visiting the Baden-Württemberg Archaeological State Museum (ALM), the city's Rosgarten Museum and much more. An enrichment of your Lake Constance vacation are boat trips, e.g. to the pile dwellings, the flower island Mainau, the vegetable island Reichenau, the 1,000 year old Meersburg, the Rhine Falls (CH, 40 km), just to name a few popular excursion destinations. The nearest parking garage is 50 m from the house. The 'Bodenseeforum' parking lot with bus connection to the city center offers a convenient parking option. You can use the city buses free of charge throughout the city and as far as Kreuzlingen (CH). The garden of our vacation homes in Constance-Dingelsdorf with pond, terrace and barbecue area is available to all guests.Our comfortable vacation apartment 'K1a+b' on the 1st floor of the house in the old town of Constance can accommodate up to 5 people. With its two bathrooms and WCs and two TVs, the apartment is ideal for families and couples.The bedroom is equipped with a box-spring bed (180 x 200 cm), cable TV and Wi-Fi access.The living room is furnished with a comfortable sofa bed (160 x 200 cm) that can accommodate one or two people. Also in the room is a TV with cable TV, a dining set for up to 5 people. There is also a folding mattress for a fifth person.Please note:The apartment is accessible via a spiral staircase from the inner area and may not be suitable for small children, senior citizens or people with physical disabilities. On the first floor is the dining area with TV connection, as well as a kitchenette. This has a 4-ring hob, oven, fridge with freezer compartment, coffee machine, toaster and a kettle. On the second floor there is a living room/bedroom with a queen-size bed for 2 people (160 x 200 cm) and cable TV. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and WC.The apartment has a bistro table with chairs in the inner courtyard. Smoking is also permitted there.Parking is available in the various parking garages within walking distance, e.g. the next one 100 m ahead in Salmannsweilergasse.Bicycles can be stored in the courtyard at the bicycle racks.We are happy to provide you with linen packages (1x comforter cover + 2 towels: 10 €/person) on request.
